About Me
Who am I?
I am so happy you are here! My name is Britt, and I started Healing Your Story, PLLC, because it is my passion and calling to help clients begin to heal their stories, take ownership and find fulfillment in their lives. My story is filled with difficult chapters (Abuse, Eating Disorder, and Depression), to name a few. For those who are informed about the Adverse Childhood Experiences Study, I scored a 9 out of 10. I feel my trauma provides me with an ability to connect with clients on a deeper level of understanding and empathy. My PTSD is Chronic however my therapy skills are ICONIC. :)

When I am not working, I am lifting weights, singing karaoke, playing with my pug, watching New Girl or The Office, and if the season calls for it, cheering on the Green Bay Packers.

My Approach
My approach is humanistic. I want you to be comfortable, vulnerable, and real with me and I promise within therapeutic boundaries to give you the same in return. I provide examples from my story to help you connect and guide you through therapy.
I give direct feedback with warmth and understanding while incorporating humor and wit.
I also incorporate a combination of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Gottman's Theory, Trauma-informed, and Narrative therapy to create a custom and collaborative plan to reach your individual and/or relationship goals.
